The Markey Biospecimen Core Program (BCP) was created in 2002 with the goal of collecting and banking high quality tissue specimens for research. It is located at the University of Kentucky, Markey Cancer Center.
The Markey Cancer Center Biospecimen Core Program collects, stores, and dispenses clinically-acquired biospecimens. BCP services are available to University of Kentucky researchers.

Our current inventory includes solid and liquid lung specimens, solid and liquid head & neck specimens, and liquid ovarian cancer screening specimens from normal post-menopausal women.
